About us
Bhawal Steel Tube Industries started in 1983 as a family business with a simple idea: supply steel that is exactly what the customer ordered, and deliver it when we said we would.
More than forty years later, that is still how we work. Today we are the BSTI Group — three family-owned companies, Bhawal Steel Tube Industries in Hyderabad, Bombay Metal India in Secunderabad and Apex Steel in Mumbai — stocking, testing and distributing stainless steel and nickel alloys across India and overseas.
From our home in Hyderabad, India's bulk-drug capital, we supply pharmaceutical, API and chemical plants where the right grade and on-time delivery keep production running — along with power, cement, food processing and architectural customers.

- Finds small weld defects and subsurface and inside-diameter flaws in tube and pipe.

- Positive material identification — a non-destructive check of alloy chemistry on site or in stock.
- Third-party inspection
- Arranged with government-approved labs and agencies when your project requires it.

Do you hold stock, or is everything made to order?
We keep ready stock of common pipes, sheets, coils, bars, flanges and fittings in Hyderabad and Mumbai, so most standard sizes ship quickly. Special grades and sizes can be arranged on request.
Which grade should I choose — 304 or 316L?
304/304L suits general and water service. For pharma, chemical, coastal or chloride exposure, 316L is the safer choice because molybdenum improves pitting resistance. Use the grade guide above, or ask our team.
What testing do you offer?
Hydro testing, spectro analysis, eddy current testing and PMI. We also arrange third-party inspection with government-approved labs on request.
Which mills do you source from?
Leading mills including Jindal, SAIL, POSCO (Korea), POSCO Thainox, Outokumpu and Aperam.
Can you supply custom sizes and special grades?
Yes — including duplex, super duplex and nickel alloys such as Monel, Hastelloy and Inconel. Send us the size, grade and standard you need.
